Christopher D. Bomar is the President and Founder of Boomarang Online Data Backup and Security. Mr. Bomar is an author, speaker and consultant on data security due diligence. He first began backing up mainframe systems in 1990 as a night-shift computer operator for a large investment firm in Cincinnati, Ohio. A few years later Mr. Bomar became a freelance technical writer and consultant. In 1994 he began writing brochures and marketing materials for small business clients.One day a computer crash destroyed several projects that took lots of time and money to recreate.

In 1998 he discovered how much time re-creating a large spreadsheet took when he experienced another data loss disaster while working for a local Fortune 100 corporation. On another occasion prior to a JCAHO audit, while working at a hospital his computer hard drive failed and he had to recreate some important documents from scratch. That last crisis triggered the importance of having reliable backup and recovery systems in place. After witnessing several major data loss disasters he set out to forever change the way small businesses and non-profit/faith-based organizations protect their data from irrecoverable loss.

In 1999 Mr. Bomar started Boomarang and today he is an expert on effective online backup products, services and methods on the market, specializing in FTC and HIPAA compliance and other regulatory matters relating to data backup and security. Christopher and his team of dedicated support partners have helped hundreds of individuals, non-profit organizations and businesses to recover from data loss using online backup technology. Mr. Bomar is an active member of several organizations including the National Society of Black Engineers Alumni Extension (NSBE-AE) and the Cincinnati Chapter of Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA).
